DT826 – Neverdogs

Italian duo Neverdogs are two decades strong into their tenure within the global underground dance music scene. Renowned for their extended feel-good and uplifting sets, full of sensual tones, sultry atmospheres and upbeat House & Techno, Bamboleo Records frontmen Tommy Paone & Marco De Gregorio continue to set a precedent for cutting-edge avant-garde dance cuts.

Rising to fame through a celebrated residency at Amnesia Ibiza with renowned Ibiza brand Music On from its beginning until 2011, Neverdogs continue to appear across the world’s best-known festivals, brands and club spaces. Some of their most recognised appearances have been Destino Ibiza, Studio 338 London, Pacha Ibiza and Fabric London – where they recently celebrated 20 years of Neverdogs with one of their increasingly popular Bamboleo showcases.

Today, they join us on the podcast for the first time. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or iTunes here.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
We are bringing the best new music straight to your ears.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
Our preferred tune happens to be the opening track, Coral, which is crafted by Bryz, a talented DJ and producer from Romania that we admire. This particular track exhibits a minimalistic style with hints of house music.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
We recorded the mix using Denon’s SC6000 players, and we’re big fans of these devices, which were first released in 2020. We’re thoroughly impressed with their high-quality software and hardware components, and we’ve been blown away by their performance.

Tell us about your next releases.
Our upcoming releases are three remixes, all of which are infused with our signature feel-good and uplifting grooves. These tracks are bursting with sensual tones, sultry atmospheres, and upbeat minimal deep tech beats, complemented by overtones of house music.

Our first remix is slated for release in April on Family Partner, featuring the work of the talented Argentinian artist Manu Desretz. In early May, we’ll drop another remix on Moan Recordings for Edmund, followed by a remix of Murphy’s Law that will be included in their upcoming EP on our own label Bamboleo Records at the end of May.

In addition, we’ll be releasing a two-track EP on vinyl, accompanied by two remixes on Decay Records. Currently, we’re also working on several other exciting projects, and we’ll keep you updated on our progress.

What have you got coming up?
We’re currently organizing our brand showcases, with our next big event scheduled to take place on May 20th at club Chinois in Marina Botafoch, Ibiza. We’ve got a great lineup planned, and we’ll be sharing all the details very soon.

We’re also planning a series of Bamboleo dates in London this summer, but we’re not yet ready to release any specific information. As for our upcoming gigs as Neverdogs, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be performing an “All Night Long” set at Kristal Club in Bucharest – a venue that we consider one of the best in Europe, both for its fantastic sound system and the passionate Romanian audience that loves to explore new musical horizons.

Before that, we’re heading to Timo Club in Fasano (Italy) this Saturday, March 18th, for another unforgettable night. And on April 9th, we’ll be celebrating Easter at Numa Club in Bologna (Italy) with the “Dok” crew, who believed in us from the very beginning and helped launch the Neverdogs project 22 years ago.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
Our message is simple: stay true to yourself and don’t succumb to the fake messages and images that social media bombards us with every day. We believe that these false ideals are turning us all into soulless machines, and it’s essential to resist them and remain authentic.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
