DT770 – Daniel Orpi

Making waves all the way from the City of Barcelona, Daniel Orpi is a fresh addition to the modern dance scene.

Based in London, the talented producer and DJ has dived into the underground music space, emerging with unique mixes and sounds that have impressed music legends such as Annie Mac and Danny Howard.

Growing up, Daniel was influenced by Hip-Hop, R&B and Graffiti Art. In recent works he has created animated clips to represent his inspiration to go alongside his music, giving listeners a better feel for what he represents. He displays a unique vision of his brand and showcases how he has grown as a producer over the pandemic.

Daniel Orpi has been signed to Bullitt Agency to be represented worldwide (Non-Europe Exclusive) alongside artists as Dubfire, Danny Tennaglia and more.

Future gigs in North and South America and the UK have been confirmed. As well as forthcoming releases on Richy Ahmed’s label Four-Thirty-Two, Elrow Music and Whippin’ Recs, Orpi has a projected release of his first Album of  Edits on his own label, Diggin’. 

His thrill shows no signs of slowing down as Daniel continues to deliver his heavy-hitting dance-floor groovers as well as future gigs all over the world. This talent is definitely one to watch.

Some of my favourite tracks I’ve been playing out recently

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
Tough one but has to be Angel De La Guarda. It’s one of the most special tracks I ever produced and that means more to me.
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
Groove and basslines, going from smooth to rollers and ending with some classics.

Tell us about your next EP?
My next single lands on Mixtank Records the 26th of November. It’s a track I first started while recording my Music Production Course, and edited it a bit to finally release it on the label that Mixtank recently launched. Well excited for this one!

What have you got coming up?
Followed by this I’ve got an EP on December coming out on Elrow Music, that one is hopefully going to do some heavy damage. Starting the year, I debut with an EP on Edible Records and I’ve also got my debut at BPM Festival next January 2022 followed by a tour around South America.
