DT745 – Miane

Share

Miane is equal to evolution. Formerly known as Taty Munoz, Miane steps up to become a strength by own right in the electronic music scene. Based in Ibiza, Miane’s music has a distinct staple, unique and difficult to put in words.

Miane’s story is one of hard work and DIY dedication. That, added to her immense talent, have managed to put her among the most interesting artist to keep an eye on by the scene. Without growing in a musical environment, Miane is the living incarnation of the DIY culture that is taking over the electronic music realm. A culture that hasn’t stopped giving us some of the most incredible talents of the last few years.

She readies her ‘My Girls’ two-tracker for Lee Foss’ Repopulate Mars this June. Today, she joins on the podcast for the first time. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or iTunes here.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
There are several favourite tracks but “Melé – Flipped it” is awesome, just when I was recording the podcast I had to write him to tell that it’s a banger.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
In this one in particular I have tried to mix many of my styles, obviously, there are quite a few missing here but they didn’t give me time for more haha! I love a track in the style of “Don Rimini – Shake Dat B”

Tell us about your next EP? What have you got coming up?
My next release will be out on Repopulate Mars on the 18th of June, I am very excited because I had this label as one of my goals and I was finally able to cross it off the list as achieved. From here thanks to Lee Foss and the Repopulate Mars Team!

Also, I have a lot of music moving, which is good because I notice that now I have to work from another perspective, and I see it as super positive. My goal from now is to keep making music with the best quality possible.

Obviously, there are things on the way, but I can’t reveal anything yet haha!

The only thing I can say is that a special single is coming with a remix of great artists that I have been listening to and admiring for too long. This for me is an honor. Stay tuned!

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
I’m very happy because we are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, little by little and with patience, things are coming. The wait has been hard, and I feel even better because I just wrote “has been” hahaha in the past tense! I’m still positive, we are already in the final stretch!
Cheers up guys and thank you always for supporting my music.
See you soon.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
