Juany Bravo is a self-taught producer. His style is marked by a blend of Latin influenced grooves, tribal percussion, disco, Hip-Hop, and classic house sounds which are present in the wide range of original productions and remixes in his repertoire. His unique ability to take elements from the Latin sounds of his childhood, and intertwine them with the current house sounds give his music, and DJ sets a vibe that’s unmatched.

Over the last few years, Juany Bravo has seen Beatport chart-topping releases on labels such as Saved Records, Kittball Records, Toolroom Records, Cr2, Stealth Records, Lapsus Music, Go Deeva Records, In The Loop Recordings, Sleazy G, Audiophile XXL, Dopewax Records, and Shanghaied, while scoring support from major musical tastemakers and blogs, such as Mark Knight, Tube & Berger, Nic Fanciulli, Roger Sanchez, and Kenny Dope, to name a few. His EP, Puro Latino [Stealth], saw an incredibly fast rise up the charts, and climbed to the #3 spot on the Beatport Top 100 House Releases chart in January 2020, while his releases on Kitball and Saved Records both reached the top 15 on the Afro House Top 100 singles chart on Beatport (#10 & #13).

His unique style, and sets, have positioned him as one of the key players, and most promising talents in the underground scene; while the demand for his sound has seen him play all around the world, as well as Kolour In The Park, one of Thailand’s top festival destinations, and twice at the famous elrow parties in 2019.

Today, he joins on the podcast for the first time. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or iTunes here.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
Summertime terrace, Afro and deep vibes as the sun rises

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
I am a bit biased, but I would have to say that my fave track on this mix has to be my collaboration with BLENT and Starving Yet Full, ‘Talk 2 Me’, which comes out in July on elrow Limited.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
The groove. For me, it’s always been about the groove.

Tell us about your next EP?
My next release is will be ‘Talk 2 Me’ which I mentioned earlier. The track is a collab with BLENT and Starving Yet Full, and it will be out on elrow Limited. This is probably one of my favourite tracks I have ever made, or been a part of. It’s such a perfect summertime tune, that’s coming right on time, as we finally start to see the world’s dance floors opening back up.

What have you got coming up?
Besides my release on elrow, I also have a collab with ANATTA coming out on Tough Love’s Get Twisted imprint, and another collab EP with ANATTA, on my very own Music is 4 Lovers imprint. I was also asked to remix a track off Starving Yet Full’s latest album that came out on 4NCY recently. Also locking in some dates around Russia, and Europe for the summer.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
It’s been an incredibly hard year and a half for a lot of us, not just people in the industry, but it looks like we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I personally want to thank anyone who has supported me, and my music during this time, it really means the world. I can’t wait to be back on the road and sharing memories, and boogie with the house nation. <3
