DT738 – DJ Glen

Share

Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Glen Faedo aka DJ Glen is one standing piece of innovation in ‘Tech House’ producers/ DJs in Brazil, balancing classic and expressive skills with experimental hi-end synthesis. After 20 years since started making beats, in 2019 one of his signed productions reached be pointed as the best track of the year by nothing more than Claude Vonstroke with the ‘Another Planet’, released by Dirtybird US. But the fact is, this achievement didn’t come from anywhere.

His house music love, the old school DJ ability, the dedication to the Brazilian music scene, the strong experimental personality and a wide range of musical influences, made DJ Glen a respected and admired producer not only in Brazil but, all over the world. The first footprints of his journey started in 2006 when he was pointed as a revelation producer by the biggest independent Brazilian prize in that year, called ‘Premio Dinamite’.

After this he got some spots in representative clubs and festivals, growing up slowly with a solid base of personality and creativity freedom, which was revealed in 2009 by Resident Advisor via remix contest, in that case by the acid housemaster, Abe Duque. The tracks he created in that time only would get the sunlight 3 years later when Maceo Plex started to play ‘Boogie Mafioso’ in all his summer DJ sets, starting their serious management in his career by Entourage Agency, coming out from underground and evolving all the history to a mainstream situation, being one of the most requested artists nowadays in Brazil. Some legends words of his work.

Today, he joins on the podcast for the first time. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or iTunes here.
