Discovering a love for DJ’ing at the age of 14, Archie B began his musical journey spinning with jungle and Drum & Bass then moved on to house and UK Garage. DJ’ing for 22 years Archie B is fast becoming a well-known face and name within the London and surrounding areas House Music scene.

In March 2014 Archie B began producing, Drawing on his influences – Wookie, Brasstooth, Groove Chronicles, Marc Kinchen (MK) and Dusky. Freakin909 are proud to announce the debut album release of rising UK house artist, Archie B. ‘Music is my Ecstasy’ is due out on 13th December and features 12 unique original tracks, that combine UK Garage, House and Bass music into a satisfying whole.

The album was two and a half years in the making and is my biggest musical achievement to date and it represents the musical journey I’ve taken over the years. All the tracks were written and produced in a live studio with many live instruments, so I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did making it.” – Archie B

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
My favourite track on the mix is Franky wah – Hide. Ever since I purchased this i cannot stop playing it, Its been in every single set. Unbelievable Production and a super talented nice guy too.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
I’d say my special ingredient for this mix is the journey i take you on from start to finish. The first part of the mix has all new music and the second half with tracks I’ve been playing all of 2019

What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?
I’ve been playing some pretty cool gigs of late but one that stood out was a private house party, The vibe was crazy and went on and on lol!

What have you got coming up?
I have an album which is out now on Freakin909 and loads of music going in to next year which I’m super happy with. I also have a fortnightly residency at the Ivy oxford and the alchemist which I’m really enjoying.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
My message would be to follow your dreams in whatever your passion may be and Never give up on it no matter what anyone thinks or says!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
