DT652 – Dom Dolla

2019 is a break-out year for Dom Dolla, named as one of this years ‘rising stars’ by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 and featured on Billboard Dance as one of ‘April’s ones to watch’ following the release of his Beatport #1 single ‘Take it’ – a hypnotic house anthem, amassing 22 million streams across all platforms with support from house music elite Eric Morillo, Chris Lake, Sonny Fodera & Duke Dumont.

Descending from Melbourne, Australia – Dom’s signature soulful hooks and Jackin-house drums have seen him sell out a spate of headline Australian shows, tour the U.S with notable performances at Do Lab Coachella, Miami Music Week and EDC Las Vegas.

Dom Dolla debuts at Egg London on Friday 5th July. He’s joined by The Aston Shuffle and another promising talent from Australia in the form of Vance and Mikah. For our second BOOST Club event, we head to EGG LDN’s Loft with more of our 1to1 BOOST Coaching DJs including No Messin’, INTA, Kim Hunter, K-OS (UK) and Funkytino!

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
A group of groovy groovers that currently have me groovin’.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
The new Jesse Perez remix of my tune ‘Take It’, he absolute smashed it out of the park. Footy whistles n’ all.

What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?
The Splash House after hours in Palm Springs was definitely a highlight of my recent US run. Myself and Shiba San had a grand old time playing for 6000 legends at an old air museum, unreal.

What have you got coming up?
I’ve recently wrapped up a couple of new singles which I’m excited to get out into the world. The Take It video clip just premiered too (it’s been months in the works filming in London).

Followed by my first ever European tour next month! Super excited for my first ever show at the Egg too, I’ve only heard great things.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
