DT615 – Worthy
Label head of Anabatic Records and one of the four original members of the Dirtybird Crew. Worthy is one not to be missed as he DJs the most cutting-edge tech-house coming out in the world.
Worthy has had a truly exceptional couple of years. Throughout 2017 labels fell over themselves to sign him up, with his productions being released on Exploited, Strangelove, Insomniac and Defected to name a few. In 2018 he’s already been on a huge US tour alongside regular production partner option4 following the release of their collaboration ‘Dance Around’ on Nervous Records back in January.
More recently his ‘Moody EP’ and ‘That Feeling EP’ were snapped up by Low Steppa’s Simma Black, while this new single ‘The Warning’ drops on his own Anabatic Records.
He drops the explosive ‘The Warning’ (grab a copy here) on his own Anabatic Records: an arrestingly powerful slice of bass heavy house that continues an exceptional run of form for the US producer.
Today, he lands on the data transmission podcast!
Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
Wiggly Ass Wranglin Beats with a side of Bacon
What’s your personal favourite track on it?
I have to go with my track “The Warning”. I love the way this track came together and the fun vibe in creates in the clubs and festivals when I drop it.
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
Basslines that make you want to move and weird sounds from outer space.
What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?
I played in Reno back-to-back with my fellow Dirtybird Christian Martin, for a post-Burning Man party that following Tuesday night, Having taken the year off from attending Burning Man this year, it gave me the energy fix I needed since everyone was so full of joy from there time out on the playa. The vibe was electric, as to be expected.
What have you got coming up?
For starters, my track “The Warning” is dropping today on my label, Anabatic Records. I’m also gearing up for the Dirtybird Campout right now, which always amps me up. It is always such a special festival for me, as I get to be with all of my Dirtybird family for an entire weekend. The amount of love and gratitude I walk away with feeds my soul in a way no other festival does. And it is such a unique festival experience with all of the interaction from the games, I can’t wait to run around and create some mayhem!
And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
I just hope you enjoy listening to this mix as much as I enjoyed putting it together. I hope to see you at the Campout or a show in the future, and thanks so much for supporting my music and inspiring me.
