Welcome to the NUDE Techno series, where we strip it back to the essentials: raw, unfiltered techno.
This time, we’ve got Timmo, the Bulgarian beat wizard, who’s swirling the decks with his latest Drumcode release, “Miami Vice.” If your dancefloor artillery is feeling a bit light, Timmo’s got your back with pure, uncut techno goodness.
Timmo’s a Drumcode stalwart with underground creds that could make any basement party blush. He’s been making waves since his tidy contribution to A-Sides Vol.13, and now he’s back with “Miami Vice,” a technicolour techno roller bubbling with celestial energy.
It’s a cut that’s so Timmo, it practically sweats personality.
The NUDE Techno ethos is all about no-fluff, all-substance vibes, and Timmo’s session is just that. Pure techno, stripped-down and raw, like a warehouse rave at 4 AM. Expect a journey through the likes of HI-LO’s “FORESTAFUNK” and Timmo’s own “Push Me,” keeping it tight and focused on that hypnotic groove.
Timmo’s mix isn’t just a set, it’s a tribute to the dancefloor warriors who live for the beat. If you’re chasing the thrill of the drop and the rush of the bassline, this is your fix.
Grab “Miami Vice” and the rest of the DC4 Vol.1 from Beatport.
Today, he joins the NUDE Techno podcast, with an hour of Techno. Listen to it below on SoundCloud & Mixcloud. If you are feeling this series, then please consider supporting it on Mixcloud Select.
Sum up this podcast in 10 words …
I’ve built this set as it would be a proper club party, starting slower from more groovy tech stuff, going through proper techno and finishing it off with some of my more melodic tracks. I’ve tried to fit all this into 1 hour mix 😀
What’s your personal favourite track on it?
Oh, that would be my rework of Chase & Status. I simply love the original so much!
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
There’s plenty of upcoming music from my label, Hypnostate, in this mix, and also some unreleased stuff from me as well. So pretty much, a lot of the tracks in here are being played for the first time.
Tell us about your next EP?
After I dropped Miami Vice on Drumcode last month, my next single is coming out in October on Hypnostate. It’s actually “XTC”, which I played in this set!
What have you got coming up?
This year I’ve been doing a lot of collaborations in the studio, so I’m pretty excited about how these turned out. Expect more music with other amazing artists from me in the future.
And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
Through the years, DT has built a very respectful and intelligent electronic music community. Just keep doing what you do best!
