Josh Fabian, AKA TIMEKUBE is an American Techno Producer/DJ who was musically raised between Los Angeles, California and San Salvador, El Salvador. Currently based in the greater Los Angeles area, he is an up-and-coming musician in the electronic music scene. Energetic, melodic, boomy and driving, TIMEKUBE’s productions reflect his love of “old school” rave synth sounds and drum machine patterns from the 90s and 2000s.

Influenced by a range of music around him from hip-hop to classical to cumbia, these elements are always prominent in each and every track and have further inspired him to continue his incredible electric journey. Having had his music supported by Techno industry leaders such as Spartaque, Ramon Tapia, Laurent Garnier and Sasha to name a few, TIMEKUBE‘s music has reached the ears of many – locally as well as internationally.

TIMEKUBE strives to push the classic sounds of the past into the future through lots of experimentation. His vision for the future is clear; it is to bring a colourful and high-energy sound to bring people to groove!

Today, he joins the NUDE Techno podcast, with an hour of Techno. Listen to it below on SoundCloud & Mixcloud. If you are feeling this series, then please consider supporting it on Mixcloud Select.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…

Be prepared to jack your body for an hour straight!

What’s your personal favourite track on it?

My favourite track this year has been Zisko – Free Your Mind. The track has got it all – that jacking groove, and equal parts funk and equal parts techno. It’s essential to me this year!

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?

I’d like to think that the special ingredient in this mix is the groove – techno doesn’t always have to be cold, fast and hard! It can also be groovy and “swinging”

Tell us about your next EP?

Keep a look out for my next EP “Freaks” releasing April 7th on KneadedPains!

It’s got some fast, club-ready techno tracks that have got some tribal and melodic elements to it. I started this project last year hoping to emulate the new Ibiza style club tracks I was hearing on YouTube at the time.

What have you got coming up?

I’m wrapping up getting a second EP with KneadedPains at the moment, and working with fellow artists in the Los Angeles area to start a new record label featuring lesser-known artists with similar music.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?

I would like to give a brief introduction! My name is Josh aka TIMEKUBE from the Los Angeles area. I dedicate this mix to all of the lesser known DJ/Producers out there like myself – persistence is key and hard work does pay off!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
