NUDE139 – Pablo Say

Share

Spanish DJ/producer Pablo Say returns to Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint with a new four-track EP of rattling and funky techno cuts.

Coming a full 12 months after the release of his ‘Freak Out’ EP on EI8HT, the hotly tipped producer tees up another collection of indispensable club bangers. Over the last year, Pablo Say has impressed with singles on labels such as Monika Kruse’s Terminal M label, Codex Recordings and Set About.

For Pablo, each record is a feeling that he can transmit to the dancefloor. Influences kept coming; most of all thanks to his first trips to Ibiza, where he attended dance music temples such as Amnesia, DC10 or Space Ibiza, where the music of heavyweights such as Carl Cox, Sven Väth or Richie Hawtin, among others, started to cast his musical character.

Pabloʼs effort and determination finally paid off, when he managed to release his productions in top record labels as Codex Recordings, Terminal M, Numen, Unrilis, elrow Music, Deeperfect, Analytic Trail. Although, if there is a label Say feels especially proud of being part that is Truesoul, the platform created by techno legend Adam Beyer. Being enthralled by Beyerʼs figure after hearing his sessions in Space Ibiza, Pablo Say has found a teacher and mentor in him, a strong inspiration with a strong personality.

Four heaters are served up on ‘The Club Is On Fire’ EP, each one smouldering with impactive techno chops, driving beats and hypnotic grooves.

Today, he joins the NUDE Techno podcast, with an hour of Techno. Listen to it below on SoundCloud & Mixcloud. If you are feeling this series, then please consider supporting it on Mixcloud Select.

Bouncy, Warm, Surprised.

What’s your favorite track on it?
It’s “Anti System” because I felt so crazy when I created it and in my opinion, it’s one of the tracks that most surprise people at the club.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
The groove and the mix of the club and the techno music. It’s genuine because the tracks are only produced with my tracks.

Tell us about your next EP.
It’s made with 4 original tracks, which I enjoyed a lot while I was creating them and I’ve been playing them since I finished them.
I’m so excited about this EP and I wanted to thank Andres Campo and Eats Everything for giving a second opportunity in their label.

What have you got coming up?
Many releases are coming up, some gigs, and we’re working with Radioshows and organizing parties on my new brand “Paradigm”.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
I´m so thankful to the people who follow me and the new people who are starting to know me!
Adding that many things are coming, so stay tuned on my social medias!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
