Anyone who’s even casually followed the exploits of DJ Die’s Gutterfunk label over the last few years will be all too aware of the imprint’s ability to consistently conjure up tracks of that totally devastate dancefloors. For the Bristol outpost’s latest, head honcho Die hooks up with fellow D&B legend Break and the elusive Trinidadian Mad Hed City for a team up of such epic proportions that we just had to secure it for an exclusive premiere.

Titled ’40 Hurts’ the collaborative cut sees each contributor showcase their skills to the fullest as dark Slarta John-esque lyrics rain down over 808s and touches of neuro-funk drones to see the trio deliver one of the weightiest tunes we’ve heard in a long, long time.
