Good news for fans of Tom Trago, especially the more impatient ones as the Dutchman has confirmed he is set to return to Rush Hour this October with upcoming album ‘The Light Fantastic’.

We’ve been eagerly awaiting new content from Tom ever since he dropped his last effort on Rush Hour back in 2012 and have be especially keen to hear the sounds of the album he’s been squirreled away crafting ever since, and with the third full studio effort promising appearances from Panorama Bar resident SteffiBreach and fellow Netherlands native San Proper we think we’re suitably justified in our excitement.

The new album has been firmly a collaborative work as Tom explains “This time, I thought ‘whoever walks in the studio can get involved’. If they walked in, they could sing, play some synths or do some mixing. A lot of people came to hang out and ended up lending a hand. It’s a much more fun way of working than sending your track to somebody across the other side of the World.” And has seen Tom adopt “step back to move forwards” with him describing the creative process behind ‘The Light Fantastic’ as he admits “I tried to go a bit back towards the style I was doing on Voyage Direct, so dancefloor beats with deeper impactI was trying to male tracks that work on the dancefloor, but also move your heart.”

Sounds good to us but until the album drops we’ll continue to make do with the his latest three tracker which does include new track ‘Avenido’  for us to enjoy an exclusive to the EP. Roll on the full album…

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
