Thomas Garcia drops his ‘Keep Me Waiting’

Share

As an ICON Collective graduate, Thomas Garcia’s production knowledge is already top-notch, but what really separates his productions are the subtle Latin influences & styles reverberating throughout every groove within a track. He takes the beat and makes it his own.

We premiere “Keep Me Waiting” which is a track echoing with the sounds and instrumentation of the music for the famous Manchester club, the Haçienda. It was a time when rave was in its infancy and disco and House existed side by side. From the DMX drum machine to the Juno 60 synthesizer and the Donna Summer/New Order-inspired break, this song is a nod to the music that started it all.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
