The Circuit Group launches Red Wire Publishing to expand its artist-first vision

The Circuit Group, a powerhouse collective of world-class artist managers turning creative vision into global ventures, has announced the launch of Red Wire Publishing, a new division offering boutique music publishing services for artists and songwriters worldwide.

The new arm is led by Circuit co-founder and partner David Gray, who will continue to oversee operations from Los Angeles while relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, to strengthen the company’s U.S. presence. Gray brings deep experience in artist management and business strategy, having co-founded AYITA Management, where he represents artists including Noizu, Camden Cox (GRAMMY-nominated), Sarah de Warren, Avedon (GRAMMY-winning), and composer Ursine Vulpine.

Unlike large-scale publishing houses, Red Wire embraces a boutique, management-driven approach that prioritises creative growth and long-term career development over volume.

Red Wire’s first signings reflect its forward-thinking, global mindset: UK songwriter and vocalist Stevie Appleton (Tiësto, John Summit, Lost Frequencies), producer Nariman Akrami (Chris Lake, Sammy Virji, Eli Brown, Carlita), GRAMMY-winning UK producer Alex Metric (Dua Lipa, Daft Punk, Silk City), chart-topping house DJ Secondcity, rising tech house talent Tommy Cooperman of HILLS, LA-based multi-instrumentalist Galo, and Mexico City duo RØZ, celebrated for their fusion of Latin and electronic sounds.

“Red Wire was born from our management-first philosophy, helping artists not just get deals done but build careers for the long term,” said David Gray, President of Red Wire. “We’re not trying to be the biggest publisher, but the most effective and trusted, hyper-focused on developing talent and creating meaningful opportunities. Partnering with Kobalt gives us world-class infrastructure while keeping our boutique, hands-on approach intact.”

At launch, Red Wire already administers more than 300 copyrights, powered by Kobalt’s global rights administration platform, providing clients with full transparency, industry-leading reporting, and collections.

“Our goal is to maintain a selective roster of writers we’re genuinely passionate about,” added Charlie Tadman, Director of A&R at The Circuit Group. “Representing names like Stevie Appleton, Nari, Alex Metric, and Secondcity, our team is deeply involved in every aspect of creative development. With recent cuts for FISHER, Chris Lake, Sammy Virji, Diplo, and bbyclose, our roster continues to help shape the sound of modern dance music and beyond.”

Founded by Dean and Jessica Wilson (Seven20), along with Brett Fischer, David Gray, and Harvey Tadman (AYITA), The Circuit Group stands as a pioneering force in artist empowerment. Guided by an unwavering artist-first ethos, the company is dedicated to building a more equitable and future-facing music industry where creators retain greater ownership and control of their work.
