The Cause FM: New Frequency comes to The Cause Docklands this July

The Cause is launching The Cause FM: New Frequency, a festival-scale event and broadcast platform taking place at The Cause Docklands on Saturday, 25th July.
The event will activate the venue’s full site across multiple stages, bringing together international radio stations, community broadcasters and DJs for a day and night of music. Each participating platform will host its own space, curating lineups that reflect their respective scenes and sounds. The format places independent broadcasting at the centre of the event, treating radio and streaming platforms as organisers and curators rather than peripheral additions.
Confirmed partners include Refuge Worldwide from Germany, Keep Hush and Voices from the UK, Seoul Community Radio from South Korea, and Potato Head x Head Stream from Indonesia. Further names are expected to be announced alongside the full broadcast schedule in the lead-up to the event.
Every stage takeover will be streamed via a dedicated online channel, making the event accessible to audiences outside the venue. The Cause has described New Frequency as the first chapter in a broader broadcasting initiative, with further streamed events and international collaborations planned for later in the year.
The Cause launched in 2018 as a single-room DIY space inside a former mechanics workshop in Tottenham before expanding into its current multi-room Docklands site. Beyond its music programme, the organisation has raised funds for causes including homelessness, mental health and grassroots cultural development through charitable partnerships and community projects. It currently draws thousands of visitors each week across club nights, live performances, festivals and exhibitions.
The lineup for New Frequency is being kept under wraps for the time being, but the event is expected to be a mix of genre-defying DJs, community champions, breakthrough artists and one-off collaborations that reflect the global spirit of independent broadcasting,
