Bicep have revealed the fourth release on their Feel My Bicep label. The 4-track Lyk Lyk EP is set to drop October 6th.

The EP promises a varied selection, from the “playful festival” sound of the title track, to the “super fuzzy Italo inspired pumper” ‘Poly Pineapple” and the “broken drum patterns and melancholic chord progressions” of ‘Ice Bowl’, which sees the Belfast boys collaborate with long term pal Hammer. “We are big fans of freestyle and old Baltimore club tracks, starting off with a broken 808 we began jamming together chopping vocals and melodies live, in our heads keeping it fun but rough.”

The trio also team up on B2 track ‘Day 3’. “This one was made after a few long days in the studio, being sick of drum machines at that stage we plugged in the vocoder and started making beats out of that. ‘Day 3’ was intended for that early morning feel when the sun is just about to break and the light begins to creep into the club,” explain Bicep.

Listen to the newly revealed ‘Poly Pineapple’ below. The track was apparently recorded in a single live take and the guys say they “unfortunately lost the project file and ended up having to master the demo!” Oh well, it still sounds great to us!
