Steve Robinson debuts on Robsoul with his ‘Bug Jazz’ EP

Share

Next, up on Phil Weeks label, Robsoul comes Steve Robinson with his four-track EP titled ‘Bug Jazz’, due on 3rd September.

The label says “Please welcome Steve Robinson. New to Robsoul but definitely not new to the game.”

After years of weekly DJ residency graft in both his hometown Liverpool, and then London, he’s developed a sound that weaves a lavish line between disco, house and tech with knowledge, finesse and usually some of his own well-crafted edits.

Now based in Sydney, and recently crowned winner in the deep house category in the Beatport Producer competition, he makes his debut on Phil Weeks’ imprint with four high-grade cuts. All spiced with a little filtered sheen, the vibes range from the juggernaut twinkles of opener ‘Bug Jazz’ to the much more slippery fast-lane Fly Life-flavoured fire of the finale ‘Choose One’. All bumping with relentless energy and warm, stately kicks, these are timeless house cuts that will fit any long-awaited summer soiree you have planned. We need more of these. Get the bug today.

We premiere the lead track ‘Bug Jazz’ on Data Transmission today, check it out here and grab it here.
