Spotlight Mix: Tom Rio & Dan Wild

tomanddanspotlightWhat’s better than a mix from one of Bristol’s finest DJs? A mix from two of them, of course! In the spotlight today we have Tom Rio and Dan Wild, co-founders of the legendary Just Jack parties and dedicated members of the church of dance.

Taking his name from his Brazilian birthplace, Tom Rio cut his teeth in the clubs of Holland after moving there as a child. Tom later moved to Bristol to study, and it was there he met Dan Wild; the result: Just Jack. Started in 2006, the event series has seen unprecedented success, quickly becoming one of the UK’s most popular club nights and securing internationally renowned DJs.

Almost a full decade on and Tom and Dan are still just as in love with house and techno as ever. Compiling tracks from the likes of Oskar OffermannLevon Vincent and Glenn Underground, their spotlight mix is split straight down the middle, with Dan taking the lead and Tom going in for the kill; the perfect way to kick off your weekend!
