Simina Grigoriu debuts on Elevate with ‘Broken Royals’ EP

Following a slew of critically acclaimed releases on Tronic, Set About, and her very own Kuukou Records. The ever-prolific Simina Grigoriu continues her fine run of form well into 2020. She announces her eagerly awaited debut EP on ELEVATE – ‘Broken Royals / Fallen Guards’.

Out now via Pig&Dan’s internationally revered imprint, Simina’s two-part EP is another masterclass in immersive, forward-thinking techno. Simina is quickly making a name for herself as one of the most promising talents on the underground techno circuit.

Kick-starting the double-sided cut with ‘Broken Royals’, Simina goes full throttle from the off, delivering an uncompromising blend of driving kicks, ethereal synths and exquisitely layered drum samples to devastating effect.

On the flip, the Berlin-based talent demonstrates her distinctive production versatility with the darker ‘Fallen Guards’, building a relentless assortment of growling basslines and frenetic percussion, to close out the EP in emphatic fashion.

Talking about her long-awaited debut on the label, Simina commented: “I cannot express how incredibly honoured I am to be releasing these tracks on ELEVATE. I’ve had the pleasure of calling Igor and Dan my friends for a long time but have held them in high regard much longer – since their beginning, really. So releasing these here is a bit surreal for me. They are diligent and highly revered, and being a part of this is like a dream come true for me. I look forward to this EP and my newfound partnership with this incredibly awesome label. More to come soon!”

You can grab it now on Beatport.
