Shanghaied release ‘Let’s Get Shanghaied Ibiza’

For the first ‘Let’s Get Shanghaied Ibiza’ Compilation,  the guys at our in-house label, Shanghaied Records have selected faces old and new for their first Ibiza VA.

The five track compilation delivers everything you’ve come to know and love from the label. First up we welcome ALBT to the label with his infectious cut ‘Mary’s Place’, signature rolling bass and chilling vocal shrills which echo like a war cry for the Island.

Next, up we welcome the dynamic due know as Engelhart, the brothers from the Netherlands have had previous releases on the likes of Lost Records, Roush and Daylight Robbery. They Deliver and underground weapon with a low slung bass and wicked quirky stabs that will have you jacking your body in no time.

Coming in strong next is Egyptian producer Mekkawy! his track ‘Sweat’ has an original Vocal hook, groovy bass line with cutting drums and stabs which result in a standout piece again for the more underground of dance floors on the Island.

Next up we have the return of Miami based Shuski, this time with another killer Tech House weapon entitled ‘Keep It W arm’ and this one will have you sweating for sure!

Last but no means least we welcome Someguy to the label with his acid tinged party starter entitled ‘This Party’ which is sure to set fire the dance floors across the Island and beyond.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
