We’ve long wondered if there’s something in Swedish water that breeds musical inspiration. What makes Sweden such a hotbed of creativity we’re not quite sure but what we do know is that we’re big fans of a lot of artists and labels from the Scand country. The latest imprint to catch our eye has been Second Voyage who despite only being on their second release look to have the brightest of possible futures.

Apparently founded by two friends after “returning home from a long lasting journey, turbulent weather and near fatal experiences “ they’ve quickly won us over with their distinct brand of raw edged techno. Their latest release comes from emerging Stockholm based producer Red Royalty who takes a step outside from his usual abrasive soundscapes for his Spirit EP which arrives on vinyl December 1. Remember where you heard about these guys first…

Tracklist

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
