Mark Mackenzie is producer based in the Scottish Highlands, releasing on Fly Boy Records and is one of Scotlands most promising young acts.
Mark has been fast rising with previous releases on Concrete Music, Arthouse and Fly Boy have gathered support from the likes of Hannah Wants, Illyus & Barrientos, Rene Amez, Eton Messy, Tough Love and Kristian Beyer (Ame) among many others.
As a born and devoted Highlander, Mark spent years shaping and developing his local club scene with intimate parties and forward thinking music policies. Welcoming world renowned underground guest DJ’s to share the booth in the Northern city of Inverness, it wasn’t long before his production talents were picked up by BBC Introducing and then Portsmouth based label Concrete Music.
His latest release and our debut transmission today, gives us the stunning ‘Millennial Groove’ showing his ability to paint soft, developing atmospheres over organic drums. Arp lines weave in and out whilst airy vocal chops create hooks over the gratifying sound palette. This one deserves to be listened to from start to finish for full appreciation.
