Premiere: Alfa Romero – Gemini

This And That Lab is a House and Techno label run by Davide Squillace, and the label’s new release ‘ One In A Million’ EP is a four tracker from Italian duo Alfa Romero, which consists of Marzio Aricò & Lorenzo Bartoletti.

On their own, they are are each solo artists in their own right, with Marzio Aricò having featured on labels such as Dirt Crew Recordings and Music For Freaks. Lorenzo Bartoletti is better known to many as Eclat, and released on the likes of Morris Audio and Moodmusic.  They combine under their shared alias of Alfa Romero and have featured tracks and remixes on imprints such as Dubfire’s SCI+TEC, Audiofly’s Supernature, Dan Ghenacia’s Freak N Chic and Akbal Music.

Our debut transmission “Gemini”, starts with warm tones from the throbbing bassline, which in the breakdown is accompanied by the epic chords of the lead synth. It’s stripped back percussion leaves space for the synth parts to breathe and expand, and the track grows with a cosmic tension of epic proportions.
