Premiere: Alexis Raphael – Circles & Squares

Alexis Raphael is a true pillar of the underground dance music scene in London. He started out years ago playing on the pirate radio circuit of East London in the late nineties, and was a key resident DJ at esteemed clubs like The Cross and Turnmills. With a fine grasp of how to move a floor, he soon got busy in the studio and cooked up hot hose releases like Spaceship, which got picked up by the influential Hot Waves label run by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss. It was this that catapulted him to international acclaim and since then many more compelling tracks have followed.

Releasing on labels like Madtech, Moda, Hot Creations, Culprit, Jackathon Jams, Leftroom, Nervous and Get Physical. He returns to Lower East, following on from his impressive back catalogue of releases on the Label, Alexis Raphael is back with 2 massive dance floor cuts ‘Circles & Squares’ & ‘Not Fluffy’ Out at the end of April.

We premiere ‘Circles & Squares’ today, check it out below!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
