Pinch Launches Cold Recordings…

Bristolian bass impresario and Tectonic label head Pinch has revealed that he is to undertake an new project with the launch of a new imprint to showcase a different side of his musical personality. Called Cold Recordings the new label will but a vinyl only outfit and has been set up to offer something entirely different to the founding dubstep outlet he set up back in 2005.

Set up as “an outlet for new movements in the ever evolving UK hardcore-continuum—taking inspirational vibrations from a long standing heritage that ran through acid house, hardcore, jungle, UK garage, dubstep and beyond.” The opening offerings will all be debut efforts from fresh artists that Pinch and his team have amassed over the past year, with Cardiff based producer Elmono stepping up to release the first release of the imprint with his two track EP set for release at the end of the month.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
