Omis debuts on EI8HT with ‘Sleep Off’ EP

Simone Gentile, AKA Omis, is an Italian producer who has been making a decent splash in techno circles of late. Receiving support from the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Shlomi Aber, Amelie Lens and more, Omis debuts for Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint with the supercharged ‘Sleep Off’ EP.

Eats Everything and Andres Campo launched their imprint, EI8HT Records, and we’ve been big fans of it. The collaboration between longtime friends and DJ partners is to put out forwarding thinking techno that transcends through soulful and emotive electronic music, to high energy groove-laden club tracks.

Our premiere, has pulsating tones and quick-fire hand claps fashion the lead track ‘Sleep Off’, as its repetitive, choppy vocal and synth stabs bounce off each other in an energetic mode. ‘Out Of Mind’ plunders a similar quality, as cyclic loops and jabbing vox meld together for a vigorous and funky workout, whilst ‘By Pick’ wraps up a very solid release with another powerful and spirited techno joint.
