As we reflect on the showcased artists, immersive spectacles, and the invaluable connections forged, Nozstock’s impending farewell stands as a momentous decision.
Nozstock, one of the nation’s enduring events, stands as a testament to family tradition—a cherished independent festival nestled within the picturesque landscapes of Herefordshire on a thriving family farm. Far removed from the urban rush, this scenic haven curated by the Nosworthy family offers unparalleled vistas of the countryside, fostering an intimate, idiosyncratic, and family-oriented atmosphere unique in the UK.
From its humble roots as a family BBQ, the event has blossomed over 26 remarkable years, evolving into a four-day extravaganza celebrating music, gastronomy, comedy, and family-centric entertainment. With a humble beginning, it has sprouted into a grand affair, featuring 10 stages and an impressive lineup of over 350 diverse artists and performers across the spectrum of music and performing arts.
Today, the Nozstock team has unveiled the 2024 theme: ‘Last Dance Saloon,’ inviting everyone to don their finest cowboy hats for the occasion! Embracing the spirit of the Wild West, a mandatory shoot-out at dawn promises daily excitement. As for sustenance, food stalls will exclusively offer a menu featuring pork, beans, and homemade moonshine brewed in bathtubs ONLY! If this lively setting doesn’t have you reaching for your pistols, what will? Get ready for a rootin’, tootin’ celebration!
“We love this event and our crew have put everything into helping Nozstock survive and thrive. But after the losses incurred over COVID, straight into a cost-of- living crisis, the financial risk is becoming too great. Nozstock has always been a totally independent event, with a wide variety of entertainment on offer and although there are changes we could make to allow the festival to continue, the final product is something we don’t recognise and wouldn’t be the event you love.
So this is it. In 2024 we will be opening the gates to Nozstock for the final time. But we intend to go out with a bang! We will be putting together a line-up of some of our favourites from over the years plus the usual exciting additions you’ve come to expect from us. We will celebrate the amazing 26 years we’ve had, the people we’ve met, the sights we’ve seen, the music we’ve heard and the moments we’ve made.

A huge thank you to all our performers over the years who kept our feet moving and our lips singing. To the traders, who kept our bellies full and our hearts happy. But most importantly thank you to our crew. Such a special group of people it has been an honour to work with and to know. They have been the backbone of our little event and without them the festival would be nothing.

The recent announcement has left us at DT reeling with disbelief, given our deep admiration for Nozstock. Each year spent at the festival surpasses the last, making this impending farewell a poignant moment. The Data Transmission team has cultivated unforgettable memories and forged lifelong friendships with the Nozstock crew, revellers, and families we have encountered over our time there. While bidding farewell to the festival in its current form weighs heavy on us, we eagerly anticipate the future and what it holds in store for us all.
