Nile Rodgers Reveals Further Daft Punk Collaborations
Good news for fans of Nile Rodgers work with seminal French electro duo Daft Punk as the disco legend has sensationally revealed that further collaborations between him and the pairing are in the pipeline after he came across some of his older work in the Warner archives. Last seen playing guitar on summer smash hit ‘Get Lucky’ Nile shared his plans to reform the partnership with Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo for at least one of the new tracks he’ll be releasing as he reveals below.
“I found in the Warner tape library, some old, unreleased Chic masters that didn’t belong to them that were in boxes that said Chic, but when you opened them up they had Johnny Mathis inside, my film scores, they had Nile Rodgers solo tracks, they had Chic tracks that were not designed for any project except for the guys working with me writing songs. So, I’m going to finish that, and this is an exclusive: Daft Punk wants to do at least one of them with me, so that should be very cool, because they respect the music, they understand.”
Sounds good to us Nile! Check out his effort from this years IMS below
