Native Instruments Reveals Traktor Kontrol S5 All-In-One DJ system

Native Instruments have announced the latest edition to the Traktor DJ system family, the Traktor Kontrol S5.

Mirroring the compact design of the S4, the new model combines “familiar hardware control” and “fluid touch-and-see workflow,” with the new addition of Stems compatibility, allowing DJs a greater depth of control than ever before.

Now let’s get down to the nitty gritty; the mixer section includes four channels with EQ, filter and FX controls. Touch-sensitive knobs and pads bring smart views, performance modes, and pop-up panels to life on two full-colour displays, whilst cueing or skipping through tracks is made simple by motion-sensitive touch strips that respond naturally to finger swiping. The S5’s deck types also switch to match the track, Stem file, or Remix Set being loaded through the included Traktor Pro 2 software.

Small but robust, the Traktor Kontrol S5 offers mobility and reliability for even the most heavily travelled DJs. The built-in 24-bit/48kHz audio interface features both XLR and RCA master outputs, plus one ¼-inch Jack output to connect the unit to any type of sound system; plus an extra RCA and ¼ inch Jack AUX channel input are included for adding microphones, MP3 players, or other line-level devices.

Traktor Kontrol S5 will be available for £579 at the NI Online Shop and at local retailers on October 1, 2015.
