Nathan Barato drops ‘Hood Damage’

Share

Toronto’s finest Nathan Barato joins Gene Farris’s Farris Wheel ranks with new single ‘Hood Damage’ which we premiere toda.

Born out of the Toronto underground clubbing scene, Nathan Barato holds a firm place as one of the most sought after names in the industry.

His no-holds-barred attitude to production has seen him drop dynamite releases on a diverse range of prestigious labels including Hot Creations, Hottrax, Relief, Saved Records and many more. Yet, Nathan still finds time to spearhead his own imprint RAWthentic alongside Carlo Lio, signing heavy-hitting records with a unique gritty edge.

Our premiere ‘Hood Damage’ is another sublime house cut from Barato. Crackling with barely resolved tension it fizzes along on its pounding 4/4 rhythm, before clattering percussion and whirling synths take it to another level entirely. A devastating house cut, and one that continues a solid run of form for both label and artists.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
