motd-alyxander

With the worst of Storm Desmond thankfully now behind us, we’re finally starting to feel the festive spirit here at DT HQ, and soundtracking our new found Christmas cheer is a jolly set of selections from from fast rising East Coast producer and all round good time guy Alyx Ander.

Having caught the attention of the likes of veteran DJ Pete Tong and a number of influential tastemakers Stateside with his debut release ‘Close Enough’, we knew it wouldn’t be long before his talents crossed the Atlantic and landed on our shores. Featuring the Maria Z, the track taps into elements of tropical and soulful house music for a cut sure to warm even the coldest of hearts this winter.

It’s not just Alyx’s work the studio that has seen him picking up the plaudits of late though, with his DJ sets considered an equally important part of his musical arsenal. Case in point: this exclusive mix. Expect to hear plenty more of Mr. Ander in 2016!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
