Berlin based Canadian Mike Shannon has revealed that he has revived his imprint Cynosure Recordings after a two year hiatus from releasing music and that the return of the imprint is to be marked by a more distinct focus on Mike’s own productions and collaborations.
Reset, Bleep puts the label’s catalogue back at 000 and begins to count backwards to where its roots began. Mixing deep bass on Bleep Back, crunching minimal house on Serge Up produced on a Serge Modular system, favored by the seminal electronic composer Jean Michel Jarre amongst others and then finishing with Bleep Forward, a remix of the EP’s opening number by NYC/Berlin producer Evan Baggs.
Dropping on September 2nd Reset Bleep is a release that poses a serious opening of intent, we hope to see more fresh content from Mike Shannon in the near future as these tracks pick up plenty of play from Berlin to Brooklyn.
