Marius Acke is next up on Crooks & Villians

Next up for Crooks & Villians is a debut from prominent Belgian artist, Marius Acke titled ‘U Groove On It’.

A member of the Mayaku collective and an inspired solo artist to boot, Marius Acke took 2019 by storm with releases on House Cookin’, Gents and Dandy’s, Moiss Music and more. His silky smooth deep house sound has been gathering some high profile support in recent times too.

‘U Groove On It’ in its original form is a classy cut full of lush sonic details, nuanced fills and funky funky bass! Fans of the filtered House sound will be well into this, it’s a blast from the past with a fantastic 2020 update. Remixing his own track for our premiere on Disco Infiltrators. Marius puts a disco spin on the B side. Tough, upbeat and full of swagger, it’s like Studio 54 blasting from the speakers.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
