Maceo Plex revives his electro alias Mariel Ito

Share

Eric Estornel AKA Maceo Plex, 12 years after his last release on Modern Love, returns to his electro alias Mariel Ito with an album on R&S Records and an EP on his imprint Lone Romantic.

The American DJ & producer is set to relaunch his old moniker, which was active during the early 2000’s and flourished from Estornel’s experimentation on electro sounds before he would become known worldwide as Maceo Plex. He delivered a bunch of releases under this moniker during 2005 and 2006 including an EP on Modern Love and an album on SCSI-AV, to name a few.

This new EP titled ‘2e Komst’ will land on January 26th, featuring two new tracks ‘Sintex49’ and ‘Dmode90’ on his fresh imprint Lone Romantic, that he launched with the recent Maceo Plex LP ‘Solar’ last summer.

In May 2018, Mariel Ito will release a retrospective album on R&S Records ‘2000-2005’ featuring unreleased tracks and to support the announcement Estornel has just shared a track from his upcoming album on SoundCloud, you can hear belwo.
