LOCUS Festival in Tulum announces biggest ever D&B lineup
From Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 April 2022 all roads will lead to Tulum, Mexico, where the biggest Drum & Bass line-up that North and South America has ever seen will assemble itself for the LOCUS Festival! This will be the first EVER event of its kind for bass heads in a place where House and Techno reign supreme.
LOCUS Tulum 2022 is a 4-day Drum & Bass extravaganza in actual paradise, surrounded by sunbeds and palm trees at Tulum’s iconic Mia Beach Club from Thursday to Saturday, with the Sunday night taking place at an undisclosed location and will be going deep into the early hours of Monday morning.
LOCUS is the landmark event for electronic music enthusiasts in North and South America to journey to Mexico and witness history in the making, all within the stunning backdrops of Tulum, with a line-up that represents the past, present, and future of Drum & Bass.
The festivities kick off with Brazilian Drum & Bass legend DJ Marky along with DBridge, Instra:mental, and purveyor of dub vibes Breakage will be joined by rising star Harriet Jaxxon, and Rohaan, one of the hottest producer talents in the scene today, alongside Mexican stalwarts Isaac Maya and Viewer.
Day 2 brings the godfathers of Jungle and Drum & Bass, Fabio & Grooverider, fresh off the back of the incredible success of their recent Outlook Orchestra performance, they’ll be joined by the likes of Dub Phizix & Strategy, Submotive, Kolya, Dave Owen, NYC’s DJ Strife, and homegrown Mexican Drum & Bass talent Mukiyare.
Day 3 gets even more ridiculous with a rare set from Hospital Records boss, London Elektricity; an exclusive Black Science Labs set from TeeBee in his first solo set in almost a decade, Etherwood and Technimatic, a live PA from PAV4N of Foreign Beggars fame, Visages, Submorphics and Kid Drama, all set to bring their magic to the beach.
Day 4, which will be held at an undisclosed location, will see Workforce, Commix, Loxy, Klute, Seba, Sam Binga and Quadrant & Iris. This is slated to lure the deepest, grittiest and grimiest bass frequencies into Tulum to close the festival in style.
Over the years, bass music festivals like Outlook and Hospitality On The Beach have taken the initiative of hosting huge line-ups around the best waterfronts in Europe and, thanks to its meticulously curated experience, LOCUS is now all set to bring this experience to North and South America.
With incredible views of the crystal-clear blue sea and the Mexican jungle in view, LOCUS promises to be an experience you won’t forget in a hurry!
Day passes are priced at $100, while full 4-day festival passes are available at just $300 and are available from HERE. Travel, transfer and accommodation packages are also available to suit all budgets, including for backpackers.
