Legowelt To Appear On Russian LGBT Rights Compilation
The response by the electronic music community to future Winter Olympics and World Cup hosts Russia’s anti-homosexual propaganda policies has been emphatic. Firstly a series of nightclubs across the world have decided to throw a series of protest parties to campaign against the seemingly discriminatory law passed by the Duma and now artists from across the globe have come together to create a new pro Russian LGBT rights compilation.
Featuring the talents of eccentric Dutch producer Legowelt alongside fellow musicians Huerco S., KiNK, Neville Watson and Chicago veteran Hieroglyphic Being. Featuring 24 cuts of “left-field techno” the ambitiously put together compilation will benefit Russian civil rights group GayRussia. GayRussia is an advocacy group probably best known for organizing Moscow’s gay pride parade amongst other efforts to raise awareness for their cause.
