Latmos lands on Absence of Facts with ‘Archaic Fear’

With its roots firmly in the relentless techno of the ’90s, Absence of Facts presents modern analogue-inspired tracks that have been handcrafted and carefully selected in Helsinki, Finland.

“Blue Ribbon Series” introduces Finnish artists with a premium selection of techno and electro. Inspired from Nordic landscapes, literature and art, Latmos pours these elements into his layered and droney soundscapes.  In the Fall of 2020, Latmos is releasing his third EP Plural Lifeforms on the Italian label Subosc.

On the EP he is delivering four original tracks of submersive and textured Techno. Thematically the EP focuses on the human subconscious, the interplay between an individual and it’s the environment and human interaction, emphasizing equality and human rights. In 2021, he lands on Absence of Facts’ ‘Blue Ribbon’ compilation with his ‘Archaic Fear’.

Kuopio based Latmos delivers a dark and industrial tune while Ebor joins the Absence of Facts ranks with a fine true-to-the-roots electro track. Label head Orion sums up the first Blue Ribbon compilation with a hypnotic tune “Lauma”.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
