Audiolith have released their Stiff Little Spinners Volume 7.

Once again, they asked familiar and unfamiliar to the label to produce tracks for this new compilation featuring the likes of Trummerschlunk, Kalipo, Gimmix, Rampue, Krink & Hassan Abou Alam.  Our debut transmission today comes from Krink’s input to the compilation a track called ‘Ascent’.

Here’s what the label said about him: “Krink – a name like a stone. Hard and void of embellishment. Techno free from la-di-da with even more deepness instead. This has been Krink’s route for years, convincing with clean and nerdy productions without ingratiation. He is called the sound whisperer for a reason”

He also gave us this exclusive quote “Ascent is essentially a jam session. I recorded a couple of loops from my machines, arranged them live in one take and overdubbed some chords afterwards. That’s a way of working I enjoy a lot at the moment, since it feels raw and direct, which makes it bit more honest to me.”

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
