Share

Having been almost a year since Junk won the licensing appeal which threatened reduced opening hours, after a long and arduous court battle to re-extend from 2am returning back to 4am.

Junk is now back in full swing for their Autumn & Winter programme and they’ve announced a brand new in-house series ‘JUNK IS’ for Saturday nights in Southampton, presenting some of the best in UK house, techno and disco on the south coast including Skream playing from Open to Close, Artwork presenting his Art’s House series, recent Feel my Bicep signees Hammer, popular London party starters secretsundaze and a midweek Halloween special with Glasgow’s finest, Jackmaster.

Junk is about putting the integrity of the music first, that’s always been their ethos and they are as committed to it today as when they first started the club 12 years ago.  As a venue they are always focused on giving artists a platform to showcase their music and this shows in the our inaugural ‘Junk is’… series at this autumn.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
