Jasper James is to end his nearly year long Saturday residency at London venue Phonox at the end of September.   He will play every Saturday in September as a string on final gigs of the residency.

Both the venue & Jasper put the announcements out on facebook, which you can read below.

Phonox said: When we launched the club, our initial statement was that we deliberately chose someone who wasn’t the biggest name, but who is an incredibly special DJ. Jasper James has since been crowned The Breakthrough DJ Of The Year by DJ Mag, voted into the top 5 for the same honour by Mixmag and broke into RA’s Top 100 DJ list.

We feel like Jasper has achieved everything he set out to with his residency and now it feels like the right time to bring things to an end. We’ll be rounding things off in style with an amazing selection of special guests playing with him throughout September.

Full details of our new resident will be revealed Thursday 1st September…

He Said: After an incredible summer, I’ve decided it’s time to move on from my yearly residency at Phonox after the 5 remaining dates in September. I’ve learnt so much from my time DJing at the club, and playing 6 hours a night week in week out in the capital has allowed me to hone my craft at some pretty special parties over the last 12 months. We always said we’d see where we were at a year of doing these parties, and it feels like the right time for me to move onto the next stage in my career. I want to thank the club for which I have the upmost respect and everyone who came to dance with me over the last year – it’s been truly memorable. We’ll be rounding things off in style with an amazing selection of special guests throughout September. Thank you!

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
