Jason Herd makes his Return

Share

Manchester’s Jason Herd makes a welcome return to the House music arena with a hefty piano-tastic remix package of his 2013 smash as Juan Kidd with DJ Jorj & legendary vocal diva, Michelle Weeks, ‘Be Real’ on Weirdo Recordings.

Jason Herd (aka Juan Kidd) is a House Music veteran with twenty five years of DJing and producing under his belt. He has gained worldwide acclaim with his signature uplifting soulful and vocal house productions, releasing on top labels such as on Defected, Subliminal Azuli, Toolroom, Moody and CR2, to name a few.

Armed with an uplifting authentic 90’s house vibe, ‘Be Real’ is centred around a feel-good piano hook that pirouettes around some tasty key slaying, powerful orchestration and Michelle’s positive power-vocal.

For our premiere, Jason delivers a deep jackin’ dub that’s teased with a sublime jazzy key hook, chopped up vocal stabs and cheeky drops, underpinned by a bumping bass groove and pressure beats.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
