When listening to Jagwar Ma it’s hard to keep your thoughts far from the Madchester scene of the late ‘80s and early ‘90s as they’ve perfectly channeled the energy and passion of that era whilst retaining a fresh contemporary edge. Mixing and matching pop and dance influences to craft tracks that satisfy fans of both genres is no mean feat but one the boys from Down Under manage seamlessly. So with a big summer packed with European tour dates, festival appearances and successful album ‘Howlin‘ behind them this summer it’s fair to say they’ve won us over here at DT.
Another duo that have won more than a few plaudits from us at Data Transmission HQ is the awfully named but fantastically talented Pachanga Boys. Consisting of Superpitcher and Rebolledo we’ve been great admirers of their collective work ever since we heard the quite frankly awesome ‘Time’ . Thus, as fans of both acts we’re pleased to be able to showcase the Pachanga Boys excellent remix of Jagwar Ma’s ‘Come Save Me’ which is available now on limited edition vinyl now complete with Andrew Weatherall’s version on the track on the flip side.
