HÄANA – The Finding (Sinistarr Remix)

On Data Transmission, we’re premiering a remix of The Finding by Sinistarr, of Los Angeles-based sound artist HÄANA. With forward-thinking beats and driving bass contrasting with HÄANA’s ethereal otherworldly vocals and string treatments. This is the fourth remix from the upcoming Brym Remix Album out 6.28.16.

Sinistarr is one of the leaders of the dance music new school, a triple-threat as a DJ/Producer/serial Remixer who’s as well known for his forward-thinking beats as he is for nightclub domination. If you know drum and bass you know Sinistarr as a respected junglist who’s dropped heavyweight tracks over the years on Goldie’s Metalheadz imprint, Doc Scott’s 31 Recordings, Hospital Records, Architecture Recordings and Renegade Hardware.

Recently though, the man’s been everywhere, applying his signature style to diverse sounds like footwork, techno and house with releases and remixes on SMOG, Tectonic,  Human Elements,  Seclusiasis, Juke Trax, and Loose Squares that show him moving beyond dance music conventions and constantly reaching out to  a new audience.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
