GORDO opens six-week TARAKA residency at Pacha Ibiza

GORDO opened his six-week TARAKA residency at Pacha Ibiza on Tuesday 25th August. The Grammy-nominated producer was joined by Vanjee, Wade, Gustavo Domínguez and Gala for the opening night. Spanish singer-songwriter Bad Gyal also appeared in the DJ booth.

GORDO’s recent work includes the tracks ‘Hombres y Mujeres’ and ‘Sideways’. He also produced on Drake’s ‘Honestly, Nevermind’, including the single ‘Sticky’, and contributed production across nine tracks on Drake’s 2026 album ‘Maid of Honor’. On opening night, he played a set moving through his usual mix of bass-heavy house and tech, including several of his own tracks.

TARAKA is GORDO’s own label and party series. The name means ‘star’ or ‘protector’ in Sanskrit, and the concept centres on giving space to female artists, with Sacchi and Gala serving as official residents throughout the run. The August to September dates follow a one-off launch event at Pacha on 1st May. GORDO described the Pacha residency as ‘fourteen years in the making’ in an Instagram announcement post ahead of the launch.

GORDO first built a following performing as DJ Carnage, playing festivals including Tomorrowland and Ultra before moving toward house and tech house under his current name.

The opening night was the first of six consecutive Tuesdays running through to a closing party on 29th September. The residency continues on 1 September with Nicole Moudaber, Sacchi, Harvy Valencia and Tony Guerra joining GORDO. Further guests across the coming weeks include Vintage Culture, Patrick Topping, Shimza and HoneyLuv, before the season closes on 29th September with Roger Sanchez, Gala and Abril Love.

GORDO and Pacha Ibiza have also announced a limited edition collaborative T-shirt, available exclusively through The Pacha Collection. It is on sale now at Pacha stores in Ibiza and Formentera, and online at pachashop.com.
