Share

The Beat Hotel today announces the line up for its second edition in Marrakech in March 2020.

Returning to the palm tree-adorned Fellah Hotel, in the plains beneath the Atlas Mountains, the four-day festival presents a programme of live shows and villa parties, alongside a roster of talks, workshops, film and food.

Among the full line-up sits a strong electronic offering of UK and international artists including Floating Points (live), Call Super, Fort Romeu, Pional, Yu Su and local talent including DJ Yasmeen & “ethnic-electronic” live act Sound of Mint, as well as a series of unique live performances from the likes of John Talabot, Kindness and Carista.

Representing Morocco’s rich musical heritage, Maalem Houssam Guinia showcases the ancient Gnawa tradition, whilst Moulay Ahmed El Hassani fuses traditional folklore forms with psychedelic guitar, autotune and drum machines. Weaving more diverse, global sounds into the line-up, selector-to-watch Yu Su, Berlin-based Arabophile Habibi Funk, and Bucharest’s deep disco DJs Khidja bring their varied musical identities to the festival’s sprawling site.
