Donna Summer producer, Daft Punk collaborator and all round synth legend Giorgio Moroder has revealed plans for residencies around the world in Las Vegas, London and Macau. Speaking to The Guardian  the wily Italian veteran explained that ‘A Night With Giorgio Moroder’ will be a glamorous disco-infused affair based on nights at the legendary Studio 54 nightclub and has plans to wheel the concept out around the globe starting with Las Vegas.

“I would do the DJing, but maybe before me we have another famous DJ, maybe somebody after. We of course have a ball, dancers in a cage: recreate Studio 54, and have it in Vegas, Macau, London.

“We’re thinking of starting first in Vegas [but] it will probably be a bit like Blue Man Group – they have a franchise. We might even talk to the Cirque De Soleil team.”

Considering he only made his DJing debut this year at Red Bull’s Music Academy in New York it seems an odd decision but one we’re sure will bring him plenty of success off the back of his legendary status within the scene and introduction to a new audience via his work on Random Access Memories.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
