Giorgio Moroder Composes Google Game Soundtrack

Regardless of your opinion of Random Access Memories there is one thing we can all agree on and that is that ‘Giorgio By Moroder’ is both the standout track of the release and up there with the French duos best work.

The quirky musical biography of Giorgio Moroder serves as the highlight of the new album and hopefully the commentary of his many achievments in music will introduce him to a whole new generation of music lovers to appreciate.  Cashing in on the current amount of interest being shown in Giorgio are those savvy characters over at google who have enlisted the wily Italian producer to soundtrack their new mobile game racer on their chrome platform.

As part of their Google Chrome Experiments series, the game allows users to race cars on a track spread across multiple tablet  or smart phone screens and whilst the game might be new the soundtrack is vintage Moroder with synths raining down over a retro breakdown.

Check it out below.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
