Here at Data Transmission we search far and wide to bring you the most intriguing music of the moment. Our most recent discovery comes all the way from Bulgaria, in the form of experimental electronica from Evitceles.
Although he’s only been making music for just over a year, Evitceles has already landed his first live show in the capital, Sofia. The 23-year-old takes influence from the likes of Actress, Burial and Boards Of Canada, and describes his music as escapist, using it to create worlds “corresponding to my current mood or state of mind “.
Talking Data Transmission through ‘Careful Mirage’, Evitceles says: “The influence obviously comes from Andy Stott‘s work, I always liked his layered bass and the floating vocals. I really like sub-basses that hit you hard.”
