Flying Lotus Confirms GTA V Radio Station

One of the things that always made Rockstar Games wildly popular GTA series seem all that bit cooler was their commitment to bringing fans quality radio content to soundtrack the games many driving segments.

Whether it be from amusing political satire, humorous talk show hosts or a variety of specialist music programmes the developers work hard to make sure all tastes are accounted for as the games soundtrack supervisor Ivan Pavlovich explains. “Soundtracks have been an essential part of all our games and for Grand Theft Auto V, we wanted to cover the full breadth of the modern L.A. scene. From Flying Lotus breaking exclusives on his own radio station FlyLo FM, to new tracks from Wavves and Twin Shadow to some incredible classic hip-hop hosted by DJ Pooh, through to the Narco Corridos of East LOS FM, Grand Theft Auto V’s radio stations paint a definitive and eclectic picture of Los Santos through the sounds you’ll hear driving down the freeway.”

Past recruit for radio contributors have seen Kavinsksy, Jaguar Skills, Deadmau5 and house legend Francois K all step up to the mark to deliver sounds for San Andreas, Liberty and Vice City’s airwaves. Whispers had circulated that Flying Lotus would be hosting his own radio station for GTA V and today Flylo himself confirmed the rumors to be true.

In trademark fashion Flying Lotus has decided to use the platform to showcase artists from a plethora of different genres and scenes with a host of exclusive tracks thrown in for good measure. With content from Tyler The Creator and Aphex Twin you can be assured that wherever you are in the game you can rely on FlyLo to be a the controls with something suitable.
